It’s time to start thinking about your Maine wedding plans and one of my favorite local publications Maine. has just come out with their 2012 wedding issue! When asked, we jumped at the chance to collaborate with this creative group of wedding pro’s to create a featured inspiration shoot for the issue. With a team that included attire from Madeleine’s Daughter, Design and flowers from Beautiful Days, custom paper from Gus & Ruby Letterpress and the most mouth watering sweets from Aurora Provisions how could anyone go wrong!!!! And what better location than Portland’s own waterfront venue The Portland Company, not your average waterfront spot!

Inspired by a 40’s pinup style our favorite hair and make-up team of Joya Beauty and Hair that Moves created glamor with our models. There is so much more to see from this shoot so be sure to check out the film from Meg Simone that shows off behind the scenes action and scoop from the team on how we put together all these design details.

Fall on Nantucket is by far my most favorite time of year on the island. It’s also the most popular time of year for Nantucket weddings! Be sure to pick up the current copy of Wellwed magazines Cape & Islands issue to see one of our happy couples. Congratulations to Melissa and Eric, we are so happy for the two of you and beyond excited to see your wedding on the pages of Wellwed!

We always get so excited for our couples when their amazing wedding days are showcased on their favorite blogs. This past week brought us two amazing features on every brides go to blog Style Me Pretty. Filled with the best of the best in wedding vendors and on trend wedding inspirations Style Me Pretty has become the online bible for  planning a wedding. To say we are ecstatic is an understatement!

The Nantucket wedding of Sarajill and Connor last fall was elegant and simply put stunning. White, white and more white filled the deck at the White Elephant. Dawn Kelly and her team at Soiree Floral really hit this one out of the park! You can see the full feature here.

The summertime nuptials of Brandy and Dan took place at a private home on Nantucket Island. Soft hues of pink and coastal elements took center stage for their wedding decor. The team at Soiree Floral did it again with every little detail well thought out. Unique Nantucket took care of the wedding day plans so the couple could just sit back and enjoy their picture perfect day. Just so happens that a little carnival was in town just down the street so we took full advantage of the pink scenery for a photo-op!  You can see their feature on the new Massachusetts section of Style Me Pretty.

Congratulations to one of our happy couples of 2010, Fatemeh and Suanne , on their current feature in Boston Weddings! Their September wedding in Bar Harbor was heartfelt, intimate and SO beautiful! It was a perfect fall day in Maine and they celebrated in style.

You can view more photos of their day and read their story online at Boston Weddings.

Venue: Balancing Rock Inn

Design & Planning: Maine Seasons Events

Catering: Bar Harbor Catering Company

Alexis and Chris will be celebrating their one year anniversary in just over a week! How time flies! Their Nantucket wedding is featured on Wellwed magazines website and I couldn’t be more excited for the two of them. They were honestly two of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to work with AND really know how to create a special wedding weekend. Kicked off with a lobster clam bake, pool time with their family & friends, intimate ceremony on the cliff and even a boat ride to brunch the morning after the wedding! A weekend I am sure they and their guests will never forget.

Here is a quick look at their online feature and you can read their whole story by visiting the Wellwed  website HERE!

Ah Spring! I think it may have finally sprung a bit here in New England. Fiddle-heads are starting to emerge from the ground and buds are popping on nearly everything. I feel like mother nature is taking a big stretch from her winter slumber right now and everything is about to wake up renewed and fresh.

A talented group of wedding professionals took their design ques from this very moment to create the following shoot for Well Wed magazine. I truly enjoy working on shoots like this. I don’t often get to see the creative process of other vendors in action or get to chat through ideas with them as I do in these types of shoots. Seeing how Dawn Kelly from Soiree Floral used non-floral elements to create her bouquet and some of her table elements blew me away! I didn’t even see it at first glance but when I did I couldn’t believe it! How fun to incorporate mushrooms and hand made cabbage rosettes into a bridal bouquet!

You can see several of the images in the current issue of Well Wed Cape & Islands but I had to blog a few of my personal favorites!

Location: Westmoor Farm, Nantucket Island

Design & Florals: Dawn Kelly, Soiree Floral

Linens & Rentals: Placesetters

Paper Products: Griffin-vites Watercolor Stationery

If you follow the us on Facebook or twitter then you know I have been so excited about our recent feature in the glamorous brides bible, Grace Ormonde Wedding style! Grace has always selected the most fabulous of weddings to be on the pages of her two publications. Amanda and Vincent’s Spring wedding on Nantucket truly had all the goods for a breathtaking feature wedding…. and here it is! There is just something so surreal about seeing my happy couples on the pages of a magazine!

You can also check out this feature online and see their wedding film from Meg Simone Films…. Amanda’s sister sings to her at the reception… beyond!

Kerry and Paul were married on August 14th in Chatham with a reception to follow at Kerry’s family home in West Harwich. It was one of those absolutely perfect summer days on the Cape!

I had met with Kerry and Paul several months before their wedding to chat details and shoot their engagement session in Boston. They were SO excited for the big day and now we get to relive it all over again on the pages of Boston Weddings! This is a fantastic publication for any New England bride. It’s out on stand now so be sure to pick up a copy!!
