You know that saying about Maine, “just wait five minutes and the weather will change”. Well, that was certainly the case for Grace and Ryan’s Kennebunkport, Maine wedding!
We started the day in Kennebunkport with all the ladies, just down the street from the Congregational Church near Dock Square where the wedding nuptials would take place. The sun was shining as their hair and make-up were tended to and Grace slipped into her dress with a giant smile. I love the “getting ready” part of the day, it’s filled with such anticipation and excitement!!
Just as the cars pulled down the road towards the church raindrops started to fall… we all know it’s the one thing you can’t control on your wedding day and with umbrellas in hand everyone just rolled with it. Inside the cozy Kennebunkport church the guest watched as Ryan and Grace recited their vows. There was so much happiness in the room, the church was filled with ear to ear smiles as they sealed their marriage with a kiss!
After a few photos on the steps of the church we zipped off to The Red Barn in South Berwick, Maine for cocktails and the reception…. and you guessed it, the sun started to shine! Ryan and Grace wanted to take advantage of the sunshine with a photo in front of the beautiful barn venue. With golf carts all around the wedding party got in on the action too! Ryan and Grace then joined their guests inside to loud cheers for their first dance. Toasts and dancing carried on throughout the night with some old school tunes to really get people going! Lets just say that these guests know how to celebrate!
