We’re so lucky to photography in New England’s most beautiful reception locations, but what could be more special than your family’s backyard.
Your wedding day is filled with family, friends, details, and so much fun…be sure to take a moment together to soak it all in.
These two know how to kick off a reception: Moscow mules, a second line, and colorful parasols while leading the way with their sweet pup!
Last fall I traveled North to a part of Maine I rarely get the chance to visit for an editorial bridal gown shoot at the New England Outdoor Center. It was breathtaking! Upon arrival I toured the property with their staff walking the trails to cozy cabins in the woods, scenic outlooks and jaw dropping mountain views. There really couldn’t be anything better for a photoshoot!
I spent the night in their lake front cabin chatting with our talented team and reviewing the looks and styling ideas for the following day’s full schedule of shooting. I love working with a creative team to bring an idea to life! Hair, Make-up, the dresses, jewelry, flowers and cake were all thoughtfully selected in the weeks leading up to the shoot and it was time to put it all together in this beautiful place!
I am so thrilled to see one of my shots on the cover of the current issue of Real Maine Weddings! You can snag a copy right now to see their full feature of the shoot. It truly does take a team to bring this all to life so I thought it would be fun to share a few behind the scenes along with some of our favorite shots from the day!
This year’s wedding season kicked off with Kimberly and Tim’s wedding at Maple Rock Farm in Parsonsfield, Maine. May at Maple Rock Farm is just beautiful! Although we just missed the apple blossoms on the trees in the orchard, Spring had finally sprung and everything was lush, green, and gorgeous. I was so excited to be a part of Kimberly and Tim’s big day because THEY were just so excited and kept talking about how much they wanted their day to just be the best party they ever threw. It’s so fun when couples add so many personal touches to their celebration; Kimberly made all of the bridesmaids jewelry (gorgeous bracelets and earrings), her father made the arbor they were married under, and the signature cocktails were the couples’ very own recipes, and their favorite Maine touches like Funky Bow beer and lobster rolls! Their day surely was an AMAZING party and all who attended had such a great time. Kimberly and Tim, cheers to many more amazing parties and happy times together!
There was just something so sweet about how these two looked at each other.
A veil passed down from mother to daughter is one fabulous wedding day accessory!
What could be better than gorgeous sunset photos at the Cliff House with a beautiful, fun couple like Katie and John?!
If you have spent more than a minute or two perusing our website, Instagram feed or blog you have noticed we are in love with all things coastal! When our dear friends and colleagues over at Sara Fitz told us they were being featured in The Coastal Table we were thrilled! Not just because the magazine would be using the images from our recent shoot together but because this little guide to seaside living is stunning! Sara’s hand painted designs are such a perfect fit on the pages of The Coastal Table and we are so excited to share them with you. You can download your own copy or order the printed version via their site here.
