Gorgeous two day celebration at The Big House in Kennebunk, with their nearest and dearest for Lindsay and Eric. They were creative in shifting their wedding plans and wow… what a day!
Cheers to Lyssa & Dave! They were married yesterday in the sweetest, intimate, seaside ceremony in Kennebunkport, Maine. While they have moved the “big party” to next year, yesterday felt like it was always meant to be. I feel so lucky that I get to see them again next year! As Lyssa said “two weddings, one husband!” Love it!
What a privilege it was to be a part of this dinner series! The Boston Planners Dining Club is a rotating dinner series aiming to showcase the talent and ideas of the area’s wedding professionals. These events are so important in bringing us all together to get some face to face time and continue to connect in the “off season”. The gorgeous White Barn Inn was the setting and let me just say this was one of the top 5 meals of my life! It was such a treat to take a seat at such a gorgeous table setting and not only photograph but experience what the creative team put together. There is nothing I love more than being part of such a creative community here in New England!
If you were to ask me what I thought of getting married on your family’s property overlooking the water…I’ll always vote YES! Spaces that are special to you and your loved ones make for such magical celebrations creating more history and memories! The fog rolled in on Liz’s family home and settled in for the night’s events. It was cozy, magical and oh so romantic! An amazingly talented team of Maine wedding professionals came together to knock this one out of the park! From logistics, to the details, every element came together perfectly. Liz and Jon truly had the BEST day of their lives and it showed! Just look at those smiles!
When Pantone announced the color of the year for 2020 I pretty much jumped for joy! Classic blue….a timeless favorite and perfect for any New England wedding! I took a quick look back at some of the gorgeous ways our past clients worked classic blues into their wedding day. Here is a little dose of inspiration… I can’t wait to see what 2020 brings!
Year after year it seems Summer comes and goes so quickly! As a Maine wedding photographer I live for the Summer months. The rocky coastline is just a breathtaking backdrop for photos and meeting so many families that hold this place that I call home so close to their hearts is just the best! Megan and Josh got married last August and with the first few snow falls of the season I can’t help but reminisce about this warm, love filled day! The Breakwater Inn was the perfect place to celebrate with the gorgeous view of the river and plenty of space for their beautiful tent…oh! and how about those nearby fireworks at the end of the night?! It doesn’t get much better than this. Although we’re in for a long Winter ahead, I’ll take any chance I can get to bring myself back to these sunshine filled, dreamy days while I wait for next season.
‘Tis the season for giving and we have some fun ideas for someone special. One of the most thoughtful gifts we can recommend to you is a family portrait session. Have you ever had the best family vacation of your lives and found yourself wishing you had photos to look back on? Or, how many times is mom or dad behind the lens but not in any of the photos? We have met so many families that return to Maine every year and we just love the opportunity to capture those memories for them to remember. Email us to purchase your gift certificate and when your trip gets closer we can set a date for your portrait session. Sessions include an online gallery so the whole family can view the photos no matter where they are!
