When Megan and Josh scheduled their engagement session for January I was honestly a little worried! The weather had been so darn cold and it’s never a cute look to have red noses and freezing cold smiles. But when the day rolled around we lucked out! Bright sunshine and a mild day met us for a walk around Dock Square in Kennebunkport. We met at the beautiful Kennebunkport Inn for some photos inside and switched to Bean boots for a walk around town. Giant red hearts hung on the buildings as town geared up for Valentine’s Day making for the perfect backdrop for a couple prepping for their wedding day! Josh has a way of making Megan smile with just a silly look or goofy walk bringing out laughter in both of them. Playful and snuggly they made it so easy to capture their connection. I just can’t wait for their Kennebunkport wedding this August!
We’re all geared up and headed out for Catherine and Brian’s wedding! We love that we get to spend so much time with them throughout their wedding weekend. We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off their celebration than to share some of our favorite photos from their Sunny engagement session last summer at the Prouts Neck Beach and Yacht Club.
It’s here! It’s time! I am getting married this week! It seems like it snuck right up on me, maybe because I have been a little busy this summer with all our wonderful wedding couples and beach portraits. Or maybe it’s because my amazing team of wedding professionals have it all under control! Might be a little bit of both. Scott is in the throws of the world series and I am feverishly trying to finish up last minute details. BUT, I thought now might be the time to share our engagement session photos on the blog (better late then never!). The fab Heidi took us to the beach, one of our favorite spots, with our other two favorite things. Milo our 1 year old Corgi puppy and Scott’s ’91 VW Vanagon. We kept it real.
I will be out of the office for the next week trying to soak up every last minute of our wedding festivities. Heidi is in the office holding down the fort so please feel free to give her a call or touch base via e-mail with any of your orders, questions or needs.
It’s finally here! Beach portrait season is upon us and we took full advantage of it with Wendy and Brian, one of our couples getting married this June! How cute are they! So fun and easy in front of the camera and I just love how they worked in a personal touch to their engagement session. Brian had just gifted Wendy the highly coveted book “I Married Adventure” that she is holding in the final image. Wendy had been looking for it for everywhere and Brian, being the fantastic fiancé he is, scored one online without her knowing! Ya, we’re just a little excited for more adventures on their big day!
Spring has sprung here in Maine and we are jumping at the chance to get out there and enjoy it! Engagement sessions are a great get-to-know-you time with our wedding couples and a fun way to work out any nerves that come with being in front of the camera. We took advantage of the sunshine and walked around the docks in Portland’s Old Port with our August wedding couple Missy and Mark. They live in Portland and met in the area during their college years so it made for a perfect backdrop! I think their photos say it all but they really are SO adorable together!!
It’s finally spring here in New England and love is in the air! With all the flowers blooming in Boston I met with Kristen and Eric to shoot their engagement portraits. It was a gorgeous spring day and we walked through Beacon Hill and Boston Commons to take advantage of the scenery and morning light. Engagement sessions are a great way to get to know each other before the big day and I have to say I am SO looking forward to their Nantucket Wedding this fall!! Keeping things fun and making my couples comfortable in front of the lens is always a goal of mine but Kristen and Eric’s easy going, up for anything attitude was the perfect recipe for a wonderful shoot!
