While there were plenty of blue and white details at Sarah and Brendan’s wedding, the couple put a nontraditional twist on a nautical theme. “We focused the palette around the colors of a mussel: grays, blues, pinks and whites,” Sarah says. “Brendan and I love blue and white and we wanted a very fresh look to our wedding to appropriately tie in a “seaside” feel without being too cutesy in a nautical theme.” This palette tied into the blush and off-white floral arrangements, blue escort cards, pink bridesmaid dresses and Brendan’s navy blue suit coat. Small mussel shells were also used as menu decorations. Naturally, the entire affair took place along the coastal peninsula of Scarborough outside the early-1900s Prouts Neck.
