Prouts Neck is one of those quintessential, timeless coastal Maine communities that you just fall in love with! And it was the PERFECT setting for Laura and Carl’s wedding weekend. From the shingled chapel, the navy blazers, custom lobster monogram and Laura’s heirloom veil their wedding day was straight out of New England look book! They were stunning! And those smiles! You just couldn’t help but smile when you were around them. Their excitement, energy and love for each other was so present it was contagious. Laura and Carl we are coming up on your one year anniversary (how is that possible!) and we wish you many more picture perfect days in the years to come! Cheers!
The Barn at Flanagan Farm is one of our favorite venues to work at. Tucked away in Buxton, Maine the venue is perfect for a wedding: the cozy farmhouse to stay in for the weekend with your family or friends, a quiet sanctuary in the woods for your ceremony, beautiful grounds for photos, and of course their lovely barn for dinner and dancing. One great bonus of Flanagan Farm is their grooms cottage. Jordan was able to start the day spending a little bit of time with the groomsmen before photographing getting ready with Elizabeth and her bridesmaids. The couple shared a sweet first look in the woods and we cannot get over Garrett snuggling Elizabeth after seeing her for the first time. The entire day was filled with lots of laughs and happy tears. Cheers to many more days of laughing together Elizabeth and Garrett!
There is just something so special about celebrating with family and friends on Nantucket. Emily and Gavin were married on island last fall and guests were treated to all the couples’ island favorites! A seaside ceremony complete with their adorable dog, the traditional cannon fire to mark sunset, New England raw bar and of course, Downyflake Doughnuts late night! So fun! We loved hitting all their favorite island spots for portraits and of course, the docks at the Great Harbor Yacht Club make for a breathtaking backdrop!
Emily and Gavin we hope the years ahead bring you all your favorite things both on and off the island! Cheers to you both!
Throw back to last Saturday, our first wedding of the season. Their smiles say it all! Congratulations to you both!
Cheers to all the moms out there! Happy Mother’s Day!
There is no denying how much we LOVE beach portraits but it’s even more exciting when the family has a special connection to the beach where we photograph! Generations of this family have gathered right in this very spot, at this very beach cottage and we were thrilled to capture just a glimpse of this moment in their family time at Wells Beach. And what a night!
A Peaks Island wedding at Jones Landing during the Summer is such a treat! Guests get to enjoy a ride through Casco Bay on the ferry, water views during the entire celebration, and the Sunset is absolutely breathtaking. Jordan met Meggan and Chris for a first look on the docks in South Portland and then traveled over to Peaks via water taxi with Meggan and her father. The celebration kicked off with a gorgeous ceremony on the lawn at Jones Landing. Guests were then invited to ride to the far side of the island on golf carts Meggan and Chris had rented for everyone and enjoy a champagne toast at one of their favorite island spots. Once the fleet of golf carts returned, the party started! The evening was filled with lots of laughs and dancing and ended perfectly with sunset photos on the dock. Congratulations Meggan and Chris and cheers to many more Summer sunsets enjoyed together!
Following up our post from last week on Catherine and Brian’s wedding weekend events we wanted to bring you their gorgeous wedding day! No couple ever dreams of a rainy day for their nuptials but there is something so cozy and romantic about snuggling in together under an umbrella! We started the day with the ladies getting ready at Catherine’s family home on Prouts Neck. They guys prepared right down the road and made their way to the house for the couples’ first look on the staircase in front of family and friends. Such a fun moment for all!
Their intimate ceremony was held in the charming St. James Church right on Prouts Neck. Guests then made their way to the golf club for a cocktail hour filled with hugs and delicious appetizers prepared by Dandelion Catering. Capturing the toasts from their family and wedding party was a highlight for us. Laughter, tears and more laughter is always a great moment for candid photos. The tent was filled with love for these two, you could not only hear it in the toasts but you could feel it as well. Catherine and Brian we wish you years filled with this kind of love and laughter surrounding you! Cheers!
Catherine and Brian treated their wedding guests to a weekend of what Prout’s Neck is all about! Both sharing a love of outdoor activities and time with family and friends their Prout’s Neck Wedding weekend was a true weekend of fun! It’s always a treat when our couples opt to have us cover more than just their wedding day. We get a chance to get to know their family and friends and learn more about them as a couple too! We started our coverage the day before their wedding, capturing a fun afternoon at the beach that included a group swim, paddle board, kayak adventure off Prout’s Neck Beach. That night we met up with family and wedding party for their rehearsal dinner at the Prout’s Neck Yacht Club, while guests attended a welcome party just down the street. Toasts filled the room post dinner and were followed by a walk down memory lane with a slideshow put together by Brian’s Mom. We LOVE photographing nights like this with lots of candid laughter and all the excitement of the next day to look forward to.
I am so excited to be sharing this GORGEOUS York, Maine wedding. Spring fever has us dreaming back to this day! You can just feel the warm sun and smell those beautiful flowers. Tyler and Sarah live not far from York, Maine but it was a destination for many of their family and friends. And they were treated to one of the most beautiful days that Maine had to offer! Sunshine, blue skies and just the right amount of ocean breeze. How good is that?! It’s what you cross your fingers for when planning a wedding at the Hartley Mason Reserve.
Tyler and Sarah took a very relaxed approach to their day with plenty of time to soak it all in and spend time with guests. But we loved that they sat off to the side at their very own little sweat heart table to sit back and enjoy dinner together! We hope that these two carve out time like that in all the years to come!
