Cozy little nooks for snuggling are the best!
I can’t think of a better way to have kicked off this wedding season than to have been a part of Kimberly and Tim’s Maple Rock Farm wedding. Although I have many favorite moments from their celebration, I’d have to say one of my favorites was stealing them away before the party started. With so much to do and so many people to see, taking a few moments to enjoy some time together alone is just so special. I can’t wait to share more images from their wedding on the blog soon!
I always say that the hardest part about family photos is just getting everyone together in the same place! When everyone lives in a different part of the country it can be so hard! So when Kelly reached out about family photos for her extended family during their visit to Kennebunkport I was excited! I met them right at the home they rented on the water (this location!) and we gathered for some fun and low key photos on the beach. What could be better than family photos on the beach after sipping some wine around the fire together!
No child should grow up hungry in Maine, but one in four children in our state struggles with hunger. Full Plate Full Potential’s Go Big for Hunger campaign is ending childhood hunger in Maine by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need, every day. We can’t think of a more worthy cause to offer our time to! We were absolutely thrilled to photograph this phenomenal fundraising dinner for Full Plates Full Potential at the Barn at Flanagan Farm this month. It’s always a blast to get back in the kitchen with chefs Rob Evans from Duckfat, Ilma Lopez and Damian Sansonetti of Piccolo and Chaval, as well as Matt Ginn from Evo Kitchen & Bar. All who participated in this fundraising event donated their time and services! WOW! Everything from the beautiful set up by Paula Cano of A Family Affair to the AMAZING Charcuterie sampling from Whole Foods Market, the servers, chefs and of course the Barn at Flanagans Farm. What a special event to be a part of! Cheers to this worthy cause!
I get so excited when I talk about Relevant Workshop! I just never know where to begin! My co-captain in planning this event, Meg Simone and I just wrapped up year two of Relevant Workshop a few weeks ago and I have been trying to wrap my head around a blog post since that day. We created this workshop as a way to bring wedding businesses from our Maine and New Hampshire communities together for a day filled with learning, inspiration and engagement, and to be totally honest, had no clue if it was going to fly. You know that feeling you get when you put your creation out there? When you whole heartedly share that you think something is fantastic and important? And you hold your breath for just a second because you hope so deeply that everyone else thinks the same thing?!?! Well, that happened again this year and after holding my breath for just a second we saw the most fantastic group of speakers, sponsors and attendees make year two of Relevant Workshop even better than we could have imagined! I love this event, not just because Meg and I pour our energy into it in such a personal way, but because our community needs this. We all crave connecting in a more personal way. Sharing our ideas, our love for what we do and the struggles we ALL have in running our small businesses. Year two of Relevant Workshop filled me right up with all kinds of excitement for what lies ahead, not just for my own business but for this entire community! Can’t wait for next year! 🙂
September might just be my most favorite time to be on Island. The pace is just a little bit slower, the summer busy season has come to an end but the beaches are still stunning, the restaurants are all still open and there are so many wonderful wedding celebrations taking place! Rebecca and Peter had planned their Nantucket wedding thinking about how to best showcase the island in all it’s glory! I just loved the classic style of these two and how they embraced all the island has to offer (even if that’s fog!). We traveled to Sconset for photos, walked right through town for a few more and ended with guests at the Nantucket Yacht Club right on the harbor. The big hit of the day, when the newlyweds fired off the yacht clubs cannon to signal the start of dinner! Now that is one way to kick off a party! Rebecca and Peter we hope all your milestones together come with this kind of excitement!
Just married = The best moment ever!
When we work with our wedding couples we are constantly discussing what they plan to do with their wedding photos after the big day. Albums are included as part of every couples’ experience here in our studio and an important part of the service we offer. We truly believe our jobs are not done until everyone has a tangible item to hand down for generations. Because after all, we have NO idea where technology is headed and I am pretty sure your Facebook or Instagram feed won’t be how your grandchildren come across photos of your wedding day! You need to print your photos and what better way to persevere your wedding day story than with an album?!
We are so excited to be sending out Celine and Jeff’s wedding album today and took a few photos to share! This is our signature album with ash leather and silver embossing. Stunning! We can’t wait for them to relive their day.
This rainy morning is the perfect time to share Joanna and Josh’s Maple Rock Farm, Maine barn wedding. The rain on their wedding day didn’t stop the couple from enjoying their celebration to the fullest. Beer taps, a s’mores cart, and homemade pies?! Joanna and Josh’s wedding was full of special treats, lots of laughs, and tons of love.
